QR codes were available before 2020, but the pandemic brought the technology to the forefront with its ability to allow businesses to stay safe with contact free menus and other options. Even though we are now laxing restrictions on businesses, QR code use continues to rise. With people more willing than ever to use QR codes, how can your small business benefit from this technology?

Not Just Restaurants

While QR codes were primarily used by restaurants during the pandemic, businesses of every kind can use QR codes to their advantage. For example, salons can use a QR code to display their price list. This will allow them to easily change prices if necessary, and to avoid printing costs.

Analytics

Using a QR code in your marketing initiative is a great and simple way to make sure you will have access to analytics related to the campaign. Uses in a marketing initiative can include: adding one to a flier to offer more information to those who are interested, using them in product design, and to display a weekly or daily sale.

The analytics will then allow you to analyze a campaign and see how well people interacted with your code and responded to the campaign.

Paid vs Free

As a small business owner, using a paid QR code generator will allow you to protect your customer’s data privacy. Free QR code generators are risky to use because you do not have enough information on them, how they are using information, they can be taken down or broken, and they could lead to viruses for your customers/clients.
